Today New York City Council unanimously voted to pass my bill Intro 353 requiring NYC to install, maintain, & operate 100 MW of solar capacity on public sites by 2030 & 150 MW by 2035. This bill will help us meet our climate goals while creating green union jobs! #ClimateWeekNYC

Our Youth Day of Action with TREEage has begun, with speakers Assemblymember Dr. Anna R. Kelles, Emily Gallagher, Senators Kristen Gonzalez and Claire Valdez calling out corporate polluters for polluting our air! It’s time for Governor Kathy Hochul to Release the Regs and #FundClimate NOW!!

We joined our friends TREEage and the 600+ students in Albany today for their Youth Day of Action, meeting with lawmakers and calling on them to #FundClimate. We’ve always been proud to work with them as part of NY Renews, but the rally this morning was beyond energizing

Love being around young people who know their power and are inspired to make a difference. Thanks to TREEage and NY Renews for inviting me to kickoff a day of action this morning in Albany for youth advocates coming from all over the state.

Electrifying to stand with the ~700 students who took on the Capitol with TREEage and NY Renews today. These young people are demanding that their legislators fight for a livable, fossil fuel-free future for them. We would be wise to listen.

It’s a beautiful day outside but Blake, Lander, Ramos, Tilson, Myrie and Mamdani are at the NYC Student Mayoral Town Hall. Asked what they appreciate about another candidate, Zellnor Myrie says “anyone on this stage would be a better mayor than Eric Adams and Andrew Cuomo.”
