I did recently an interview with Charlie Camosy for OSV News about Christian theology and end-of-life ethics, focusing especially on the current state of euthanasia practice, and a Christian approach to opposing it

Takeaway from this report: there is a lot of evidence to suggest educators should be very worried about how students are using AI in class. Here is the link: anthropic.com/news/anthropic…

This could equally be my “spirituality” or my “theology of grace” in four books, too, but I suppose that’s kind of the point

Very proud of our Honors graduates. These people are off to do some great things in the world. But more importantly, they are good people. My colleagues too are a great pleasure and privilege to work with. I count my blessings!

It can’t be emphasized enough: wide swaths of the academy have given up re ChatGPT. Colleges have had since 2022 to figure something out and have done less than nothing. Haven’t even tried. Or tried to try. The administrative class has mostly collaborated with the LLM takeover.

The takeaway here should not be that students are lazy. 18 year olds aren’t the problem. The problem is that universities have failed to make a persuasive case to their “customers” that they are educational institutions rather than companies that dispense “I’m employable” stamps.

I really enjoyed this conversation with Paul Sherz (University of Notre Dame) about our two books, both released Notre Dame Press this past year. You should read Paul's book! (and mine 😉)

A great essay (again) by Malesic. I attended the same AI pedagogy workshop he describes in the essay. There was a different speaker and it was a different university, but it was the same workshop, to a T | ChatGPT Is a Gimmick hedgehogreview.com/web-features/t… via The Hedgehog Review
