Why I write lexers and parsers by hand instead of using lex/yacc: lex and yacc gets your prototype up and running quickly, but there's a cost: 1. having to learn lex and yacc 2. running into limitations with lex and yacc 3. having a foreign program (i.e. lex and yacc)

Studying natural language parsing is a whole different take on writing a parser and I am really enjoying it considering I hand wrote my spellchecker for Ollie using the Levenshtein distance algorithm... I did cheat on the search feature and just used the already implemented

It's been hard to code lately as my mental health has been taking a toll on my thought process. Ill be posting an update on my assembler soon :)

I've been trying for the past year to find a haskell or OCaml job with no success. I guess for better options I am going to have to go back to the C++ route. :(

Being laid off from my job has really made me see how important self care is, slow mornings. Im going to be taking it easy, but I know the type of company I want to work for now. I think I will transition back into malware research/ cyber.
