Today, I was honored to give a tour of the Oklahoma State Capitol to a Chinese delegation from Oklahoma's sister province, Gansu. A big thanks to Kyle Dillingham for inviting me to share a little bit of Oklahoma history with our special guests.

The state competition for National History Day is happening today at the Oklahoma History Center! I'm proud of my son who has worked very hard on his exhibit about Japanese internment camps during WWII since last fall.

Education Day at Fort Gibson Historic Site was a success! Over 1,200 students from schools across the region came to learn about military life on the frontier from our Oklahoma Historical Society living history interpreters.

Congratulations to Shawnee artist, Lucas Simmons, for completing the last painting in his "Labor Omnia Vincit" series for the ground floor rotunda in the Oklahoma state capitol. This painting highlights laborers in northeast Oklahoma. The series took him over 3 years to complete.
