The requirement for interop protocols should be the same as for L1s. Interop protocols are cross-chain ledgers, and ledgers should be decentralized, trustless, and censorship-resistant.

Bridging. - LayerSwap (via TRAIN Protocol): now supports custom solving, so will have new fast routes to Base for USDC, ETH on the way. Target: 2-3 weeks. - Canonical: likely to reduce bridge times down to 1 day (from 7) for better capital efficiency. Same as zk rollups. Target:
