Hubby and I both woke up sick today. Must have picked up a bug on our city sojourn. Both of us went for a sleep after lunch. He still hasn’t surfaced.

For the first time in a long time, I’m not the sickest person in our house. Hubby has the flu and is miserable. I had one rough day but I’ve had the flu vax and turned around quickly.

For more than 16 months, my employer has had my back as I went on a significant health journey. It's not over yet, and neither is their support. I will always be grateful that I have never had to worry about my job. #loyaltybegetsloyalty

Today I got a lung specialist to add to my collection. Thanks Cancer!

Sunday after Mother’s Day is Cousins’ Day for my husband’s family. Last year three of us were in active cancer treatment and fourth had just gone into remission. Today two more of us were cancer-free. Sadly the fourth has emphysema as well as cancer but she was able to join us.

Today I made a very small purchase at Kmart. Along with my receipt, the young worker passed me a handwritten note that said, “You’re amazing”. Lifted my spirits!

A new visitor to my bird feeder, an Australian king parrot.

I think I must have slowed down enough for old age to start catching up with me. Not only do I have a birdfeeder and instantly look up to identify new visitors, today I bought "gasp, clutch my pearls" .. gardening stuff.

I got very excited when I got the notification on my watch about this visitor while at work today! A new visitor to my smart bird feeder. I think it’s a female Eurasian Sparrowhawk. Sandy Horne can you confirm/advise, please?
