We went back to the shopping center and headed on the left side of the road.After walking for 45mins, We saw the river and the bridge.

From the bridge we could see the tea plantation.We walked up to the farm and asked a local who happened to know kevin’s family..

We were shown Kevin's home.In the compound, we met three kids playing and assumed they were Kevin's sisters...

The kids rushed to house and called out their father.They welcomed us in one of the houses which we were later told was Kevin uncle’s house.

We introduced each other telling them what we do and the reason for our unexpected visit...

We asked them if they knew Kevin and showed them his Photo. They all looked at each other panicking and looked very worried.

They started asking a lot of question at the same time, is he ok? Is he dead? Do you know where he is?

But later calmed down when we assured them that Kevin was safe and sound. They explained to us why kevin run away from home..

So far no one introduced him/herself as the Mother and Father. We got curious and asked where his parents were...

After few minutes of complete silence, the uncle told us that kevin’s father died few months after Kevin run away..

..a year later two of Kevin sisters also died leaving kevins mum devastated and after burying the the second girl, she run away to Uganda..

After listening and asking few questions we dint know what to do.We had not expected bad news and worst of all we dint know how to tell him

He had left home at the age of 12 after stealing 50shs from his drunk father and run away fearing being scolded and seriously beaten by him

Kevin’s fear of being beaten by his father kept him away from his family for almost three years, and now he will be coming home to no family
