Spent 3 hrs hanging out with about 5 Bryde’s whales watching them swim and feed. What an incredible experience!!

Over the weekend it was dolphins & porpoises. Malaysian marine mammals have been showing off 👌🏾

I SAW WILD ORANGUTANS!!! One adolescent and an adult female with a 2 week old baby!! No photos because you just had to be there 😛 (and they were being shy and hiding in the forest canopy)

Visited the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Center. Sun bears are so cute and small!!

What a blast showing Dr. Zoe Nhleko Wildlife Conservation Network our work. Let’s just say the assault wasn’t spicy food, but food drama was endless 🤣. But bats more than make up for any drama. Are you part of a scientific/ conservation granting committee? Do you get paid a stipend/honorarium? Would you be willing to share how much, how often you have to review grant applications and how many time you meet?

We are looking into offering stipends for some of our granting committees at work and I’d like to use examples to support my recommendations for paying people for their time and expertise. Please help and thank you!

Gotta love how there’s signs all over my neighborhood saying fireworks are illegal yet every night fireworks have indeed been going off since the first week of June! 🙄
