Tourism is the prime economic driver in Ladakh, we are working with the UT Administration and the local community to develop and promote the homestay ecosystem, especially along the rural and border areas, and targeting to establish approx. 10,000 homestays over the next 5 years.

Our team is assisting the administration in onboarding Skill India to train the homestay owners on hospitality, eco-guides and product development training, under the Hunar Se Rozgar Tak Scheme.

As part of this engagement, EY is developing specific sporting SOPs, policy regulations and registration mechanisms of tourism service providers with a focus on innovations, community engagement and by implementing responsible practices in tourism.
