I went to Winnipeg to see Murray Sinclair in assisted living earlier this year. There, he conducted his final interview. We also went to Selkirk and he showed me where he grew up. It was the culmination of a decade of trust building. Story here: theglobeandmail.com/politics/artic… #cdnpoli

The Honourable Murray Sinclair always walked into dark places with a flashlight so that we can safely follow. A beam of light that cut through injustice and shows the way to hope.Sending prayers and gratitude to his loving family🧡

A man whose dedication, impact, service and commitment to the right kind of justice is gone. Canada is better because of him though it didn't deserve him. His legacy is borderless. Rest In Peace Murray Sinclair. apple.news/AsaXJD0puTKCIY…

The Canadian Bar Association is deeply saddened by the passing of The Honourable Murray Sinclair, former judge and senator. A trailblazing leader, Mr. Sinclair was the first Indigenous judge appointed in Manitoba. 1/4 bit.ly/40zwTcK

Murray Sinclair was iconic and transformative in his leadership and skills, and also so humble and generous in the Anishinaabe way. He changed the country of Canada as we know it, and his legacy will be profoundly transcendent and immortal. My sincerest condolences to his family.

Glad to have my review of Christine McNair’s Toxemia in periodicities : a journal of poetry and poetics this month. This book will resonate with many women, I’m sure, especially when it comes to considering how personal identity and health are woven together in many complex ways. @christinemcnair Book*hug Press

Great seeing friends Robert J. Sawyer & Madeline Ashby get coverage in my local community paper Centretown Buzz for their panel on how #scifi doesn't predict the future but reflect the present at Ottawa Writers Festival back in October. (Link to article in comments.)
