To me, the best content gets you where you need to go without making you work too hard or wasting your time. You don't even notice that you're reading. Content like that is created by knowing a lot, and writing only what's needed.

If your team is inviting your UX writer into the project at the very end, it's a sign that you're undervaluing the work and impact that they can have on the solution. Katie Lower via @awelfle at tonight's UX Content Strategy Meetup #ux #contentstrategy #…lnkd.in/dDrX5jw

-Let go of what *you* think is important and focus on what the audience thinks is important. -Let go of wanting to say everything, and instead provide just enough, at the right time. -Let go of your idea of 'good writing'; just write to be helpful. I have this tattooed on me!

I love online meetups. Today I listened to content design stories and sage advice from Oanh Trinh and Kane Perkinson at the Melbourne Content Strategy session expertly hosted by Lorien Kaye of Weave. Apart from drinking water instead of wine, it's almost as good as being there!

Great content is created by uniting the logical structure of a content model and the empathy of user-centred design. I love this balanced approach described by Angus Gordon of Weave gathercontent.com/blog/in-govern…
