To make up for the last few missed #ThrowbackThursday posts, here's a double feature! Two Dodge G16 appliances from Saltash Community Fire Station and Mevagissey Community Fire Station. Both were eventually replaced by newer Mercedes appliances. Picture credits to the Southwest999 group.
This #ThrowbackThursday features a 1979 Bedford TK that served at Callington Community Fire Station until 1997 when replaced by a newer Mercedes and continued service as a reserve until the 2000s where it was then disposed of. Picture credits to the Southwest999 group.
For this #ThrowbackThursday we have a 1983 Bedford TK, new to Bodmin Community Fire Station in 1983 it served until the late 1990s where it then served a short while with Newquay Community Fire Station before moving onto @TrainingCFRS and then finally being disposed off in the 2000s.
Some more thanks to the crew at Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service St Austell Fire Station for letting me get some photos of some of their appliances! Featured is the wholetime pump running the "Blue" spare appliance (a Mercedes Atego) and the retained MAN TGL pump.

This week two of our technicians have undergone operator training for our 'Aerial Ladder Platforms' over at Newquay Community Fire Station. This enables us to operate the appliance should it ever be required of us to do so. They definitely caught some incredible views! 🚒🚨🛠️

Earlier this month we handed Tolvaddon Community Fire Station their first away back after major work had taken place. Pump refurbished and a full service carried out, it’s now back on the run! 🚒🚨🛠
Over the last month we’ve been extremely busy keeping on top of defects. We’ve also got St Mawes Community Fire Station’ first away in for gearbox repair and St Austell Community Fire Station’ operational support in for a head gasket repair. 🚒🚨🛠
Over the last few months we’ve been keeping on top of servicing and repairing various defects. This week we’ve had Newquay Community Fire Station’ ALP in for some LED upgrades on the cage lighting to assist in future incidents! 🚒🛠🚨
