During today's committee debate on SNAP cuts I spoke about my experience growing up. My mom didn't wake up wanting us to be on food stamps - but that was the assistance we needed to survive.

Hate speech directed at any race, at any religion, at any ethnic group, or any identity is an attack on all of us.

Yesterday I joined area leaders for a policy briefing on hate speech and policy-driven harm led by Rep. Shontel Brown. Following the briefing, she hosted a press conference featuring Eric Synenberg State Rep Eric Synenberg to reaffirm Northeast Ohio's opposition to hate in all its forms.

On the House floor I spoke out against the devastating SNAP cuts in Trump’s Big Ugly Bill. This isn’t good policy, it’s plunder. This bill takes from the hungry, to give to the wealthy. I’m a NO on this cruel bill.

But seriously, shouldn't it be news that Trump met with the holdouts and said "Look, just don't cut Medicaid because then you'll lose reelection" and then had to be informed by the holdouts that the bill actually severely slashes Medicaid?

Trump’s Big Ugly Bill is a bad deal for NE Ohio. Trump’s friends get massive tax cuts, while 500,000 Ohioans lose their health care and 98,000 lose SNAP benefits. It’s a scam.   This week, I held a town hall in Shaker Heights to lay out the facts and set the record straight.

Today, I was in Cuyahoga Falls to announce the start of cleanup work at Gorge Dam - making the Cuyahoga River healthier from here to Cleveland. That’s good for our economy and our quality of life. It’s another win for NE Ohio, funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
