Earlier: Whitman Firefighters responded to a high pressure gas line struck by a mini excavator. The home was evacuated and a hoseline stretched as a precaution until National Grid arrived to shut the gas off at the street.

Whitman Fire Fighters is holding it’s first annual blood drive for Children’s Hospital. We know it’s a busy time of year, but we need your help. The blood drive will take place on December 20th 9am-3pm at the fire station, 56 Temple st.

This past week L1769 hosted Boston Children's for a blood drive. We would like to thank all those that donated blood. L1769 donates a portion of our charitable fundraising proceeds to an organization every year. This year we were pleased to present BCH with a check for $1,000.
