Industrial monoculture plantations do NOT help stabilise the climate, in fact they do the direct opposite. The truth is they're a disaster, not only for the climate, but also for nature and local communities. Please stop with the lies, Coillte; we need more REAL forests.

Check out this RTE archive from 1992 about Tomnafinnoge Woods. Over 500 acres of oak were felled in the 80s in the area. We are replanting native Irish trees, including oak, slowly but surely! rte.ie/archives/2022/…

We are so sad about the passing of Andrew St.Ledger of The Woodland League. He inspired and taught us so much and he is gone far too soon. We will do our best to continue the work. Here he is, showing us the way. 🌳 RIP 🌳
