Studies have agreed on several actions to address Yemen's water scarcity most notably adopting rainwater harvesting since its sources are renewable and it does not stress the underground water. Being the largest player, SFD has built 172,779 harvesting tanks in rural areas.

Half of Aden's population only has access to water every 2–3 days. Beyond infrastructure, we need accountability systems in place. This project supported by the Netherlands & Germany establishes user water associations that will contribute to holding public servants accountable!
