We are saddened to learn that Clive Everton has passed away. Everton was especially passionate about billiards and made a significant contribution to the sport over several decades. As a player, he reached the World Billiards Championship quarter-finals three times.

I bought Clive Everton's book, 'Black Farce and Cue Ball Wizards' many years ago and asked him to sign it the next time I saw him. He wrote 'Paul, master referee and one of the good guys'. Biggest compliment I think I'll ever have from this sport. Thanks again, and RIP Sir.
