Learned some great technique from Ohio State All-American Dylan D’Emilio. Tomorrow, Sunday, July 21st, we have the second half of the camp with Wauseon’s own, Gavin Ritter. Still have time to come out and learn from these college wrestlers. 10 am - Noon 1 pm - 3 pm

Thanks to those wrestlers who came out today for day 2 of our camp. Big thanks to Wauseon’s own, Gavin Ritter who was our clinician. Didn’t get a group picture (Coach Ritter’s fault) because we rolled up mats up for some work inside the bldg starting tomorrow.

Great showing yesterday by Zavian LaFountain and Jordan Cook as they competed at the always tough Indiana Hoosier Pre-Season Open. Zavian went 5-2 and Jordan was 4-2 Next up…Grappler Fall Classic in Kalamazoo, MI at the end of Sep.

Congrats to Julia Lugabihl (2x Champ) on her performance at the Freakshow. Joey Lugabihl finished top 12 in his weight class

Two of our own being recognized on the USA Wrestling Youth National Team. Congrats to Kolton Hartman and Julia Lugabihl

Just a reminder that tomorrow (Nov 11) and Tuesday (Nov 12) there will be parent meetings for Youth Wrestling. A parent or guardian needs to attend one of the 2 meetings. Both with be at the Wrestling Bldg across from the Middle / Elementary School, by the Track at 7 pm.

Super proud of our team for qualifying for the State Dual Meet Tournament for the 3rd straight year! Hard fought finals match with Bellevue, but our kids came together as a team to punch their ticket.

Great weekend for the Wauseon Wrestling Program last week… HS Boys qualified 10 to the District Tourn and won the Sectional Tourn for the 10th straight year. HS Girls qualified 3 to the District Tourn JH Team finished State Runner-Up at the OAC JH State Duals

Couldn’t be more proud of this group! 10 District Qualifiers and 10 District Placers (7 State Qualifiers, 2 Alternates & a 6th place finish) While they all may not have achieved what they wanted, they ALL contributed to a District Team Title! On to next week in Columbus!
