Ok, for those folks with knee pain. Another randomized clinical study showed no evidence of krill oil for treatment. The amusing part is that reduction in perceived pain was similar in treatment vs. placebo -> again highlighting how getting a "medicine" could improve symptoms.

Human mind is a fascinating thing. Just getting a red sugary pill could make a person feel better, with no actual medicine being in the pill. Especially, if a person giving a pill would wear a white coat and look like a physician.

In the lab meeting, we ended up with discussing what people did in the last weeks, and I asked if anybody saw the new movie "Inside out 2". One of the lab members asked - is that a horror movie? The best joke I had in a while!!!

People are weird. On the one hand they say that it should be parents doing parenting, not school or government. But then when parents do their parenting job they cannot stop at criticizing and giving advice. People are weird.

I don't care about the language - since I came to the US barely speaking English. I look at the substance. Does the person have right background to be successful in my lab, i.e. computational? If it is a request for PhD position, do I have funding? The rest is irrelevant!
