Denmark now registers Taiwanese as Chinese when they stay longer time in Denmark. In our view, if these thoughts spread to the rest of the EU countries, Taiwan will have an even harder time in the fight against China. #dkmedier taiwancorner.org/denmark-treats…

Very interesting and important new paper. Suggests animal welfare labeling is not a stepping stone to decreased meat consumption and may even be an "absorbing stone" that stymies meat reduction by locking in welfarist norms. tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…

China is conducting military exercises to intimidate #Taiwan today, but the #Taiwanese are more preoccupied with making the perfect sign for tomorrow's civil protest in Taipei calling out China-leaning lawmakers for undermining Taiwan's democracy. "NO MORE DEMOCRACY=NO MORE BL"

My quick take on the ongoing protest against the legislative power grab in Taiwan. The original title was "A Sunflower Redux?" thinkchina.sg/politics/where…

What you might not know about the protest in Taipei. There are water, snacks and even hot meals provided on the scene, there is up to 700 volunteers to help prep meals and distribute supplies. All of these are donated by people around Taiwan to support the action .
