"Congratulations to Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost, who was just named Pope. It is such an honor to realize that he is the first American Pope. What excitement, and what a Great Honor for our Country. I look forward to meeting Pope Leo XIV. It will be a very meaningful moment!"

Habemus Papam! Congratulations to the first American pontiff, His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, on his election as the 267th successor to Saint Peter. May God grant him wisdom, courage, and grace as he carries out his sacred ministry.

Today, Second Lady Usha Vance and I visited the tomb of the late Holy Father Pope Francis. He was beloved by many Catholics around the world, and I hope you will join me in praying for the repose of his soul.

Terror doesn’t need an invitation – it needs an opening. Mass migration allows violent extremists to exploit vulnerabilities. If Europe wants to stop the next attack, it must guard the doors and stop terrorists from walking through.

An Afghan man denied asylum went on to stab a two -year-old and an adult in a German park. He was due to return to Afghanistan after his claim for asylum was rejected. This wasn’t a failure of compassion. It was a failure of enforcement. European governments must protect

A terror attack using explosives to target a Vienna concert was stopped – just in time. Radicalized teens, one a migrant, pledged allegiance to ISIS. The reason it didn’t happen? U.S. and Austrian intelligence working together. This is what real security cooperation looks

Terrorists don’t need visas when borders are wide open. If we want to protect our people, we start by strengthening laws, enforcing them effectively, and cooperating internationally. No one is safe without secure borders, and no one should die because we failed to act.
