Today, Canada’s @LionElectricCo hosted a tour of their new electric vehicle production facility in Joliet, Illinois ⚡️🚍. The Roadmap for Renewed 🇺🇸-🇨🇦 Partnership commits to building world-leading battery supply chains & taking action to achieve a zero-emissions vehicle future.

Acting Consul General David Usher visited the facility and discussed it with Rep. Sean Casten, Congressman Bill Foster, Rep. Lauren Underwood , U.S. EPA 5 Admin Debra Shore and IL Commerce director Sylvia Garcia. The plant, the largest of its kind in the US, will open in 2023, creating 1400 jobs.

I went to my first EXPO CHICAGO #expochicago yesterday and had a chance to check in (and learn from) two participating Canadian galleries - DURAN MASHAAL from Montreal and Patel Brown from Toronto.

My first visit to the very impressive Museum of Science and Industry #msichicago. Aside from the U-Boat, airplanes, trains, baby chicks etc., I loved the bicycles! Mine could probably be an exhibit!

75th anniversary of Jackie Robinson’s debut with the Dodgers-with a reminder of the Canadian connection. My Dad often spoke of seeing him play in Montreal.

Fun "Meet our Bees" event with Dana from the Alveole . Alvéole One Two Pru Alvéole is a Canadian company that helps organizations meet their engagement and sustainability goals by bringing bees to their building. I was glad to help out – by holding the sign on a windy day!

Great visit to Springfield City of Springfield last weekend. Sampled a local delicacy – the Horseshoe. My eyes were bigger than my stomach!

More City of Springfield memories- met young Lincoln at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum Lincoln Presidential Library and visited his tomb – coincidentally on the anniversary of his death. I learned a lot and appreciated even more his life and legacy.
