Died #OTD 1877, Mary Carpenter. Unitarian & reformer; instrumental in several educational Acts. 1st♀️to have a paper published Royal Statistical Society; active in the anti-slavery movement; supported♀️suffrage & access to HE. We've several of her books & letters in our archive.
Died #OTD 1898 Edward Burne-Jones; painter & designer, strongly associated with the pre-Raphaelite movement. The College is privileged to have stained glass windows designed by Burne-Jones throughout its Chapel. Edward Burne-Jones
