Did you catch us on the radio yesterday? Our director Kate Harper spoke to BBC Norfolk about the upcoming Make a Difference award. Our founder, Genevieve Rudd, has been shortlisted for her work at Under Open Sky, but as she's poorly, Kate stepped in to talk about our work! 📻

It was an absolute scorcher at the weekend 🌞 We teamed up with Wastesmiths to bring a film screening of Grandad & The Pier to #GreatYarmouth, followed by a pier walk in the sunshine, led by local poet Chris Smith

Something we get asked a lot is, where does all the litter on our beaches come from? 🚮 Public litter 🎣 Fishing 🧻 Sewage related debris 🚢 Shipping 🚯 Fly-tipping ❔ Unknown Knowing where litter comes from helps us campaign to stop it reaching our ocean and beaches 🌊

This week’s Coasters was all about how we experience water & words about the waves, led by Chris Smith. We started with a poetry reading before taking a blustery beach amble, where we spotted cormorants & a young Gannet. The group turned their observations into watercolour art

1/ Sea level rise will transform the east of England within our lifetimes, destroying homes and places we love... yet nobody is talking about it So I'm walking from Cambridge to Norwich, 180 miles in mask and snorkel, almost entirely on land that will soon be lost to the seas 🧵
