What a great day for a visit to the zoo! Our 3rd graders shared their animal projects with members of the Pack this morning! They enjoyed teaching the 1st graders about their animals. More pictures to follow...

More pictures from the "zoo" visit today...our 1st graders filled out their animal passbooks with lots of information, then were able to enjoy some animal crackers! Awesome way to spend the day before spring break!

So awesome to have our "Den Meetings" again where we reviewed how we can show our "PAWS" at Uncas! There was even a special guest to help us remember to be Present, show a positive Attitude, make Wise Choices, and to be Safe. Thanks Wolfie!

To close out Teacher Appreciation Week, Wolfie brought his sidekick, The Blue Power Ranger to deliver “Superhero Snacks” to the superhero teachers and staff at Uncas! Thank you for all of your hard work!

Congratulations to the 2021-22 Uncas Elementary Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Darcy Strauss! Her colleagues and students surprised her with the news today! Darcy, your students are lucky to have you as their teacher, and we are lucky to call you a colleague!

Uncas Trunk or Treat is on! Book Fair is open! What a great Saturday morning! Costumes, candy, and books!!!

Couldn’t think of a better way to end October and start a new week than to recognize our Student of the Month at a Den Meeting! We also discussed “Safety”as part of showing our PAWS, especially tonight when going out to trick or treat. Be safe wolves!

Our teachers and coaches have been working hard with TCRWP at creating “tools” for Readers and Writers Workshop. I also saw some awesome anchor charts and other visuals that support our readers…including one for this time of year! Awesome work Wolfpack!
