Our third speaker at #ZPLS is Prof. Vivienne de Vogel from Forensic Psych UM. In her work, she focuses on forensic mental health patients and professionals. Prof. De Vogel is considered an expert on female patients in forensic care and the need for gender-responsive interventions.


In this Dutch newspaper, Prof. Vivienne de Vogel of Forensic Psych UM describes the rare but existing cases of child sexual abuse by female perpetrators. Female perpetrators are usually not driven by sexual gratification; other motives such as anger and revenge are more common.


New event by Maastricht Science in Court, an interfaculty research collaboration that aims to improve evidence base of legal decision-making.
