Post of Richard Dronskowski encouraged me to find photo of my first poster session in 1993 (Algarve). Cu(II) complex with acyclovir was presented at "Metals in Biol. Systems" conference. Fashion, my appearance and photo quality have changed a bit but principles of science are still the same!
Very happy to visit the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of the University of Ljubljana for a lecture in the departmental colloquium. Great facilities, excellent science, warm people! Thanks a lot for the invite and hospitality Turel group! University of Athens Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation-HFRI
COST actions are perfect tool to build new cooperations. You meet old friends and get new. We first met with Ricardo Louro (#ITQB NOVA, Lisbon) in 1993 and now again! Topic of this meeting in Carcavelos: “FeS Clusters from Chemistry to Biology and Beyond” COST FeSImmChemNet #CA21115
Farewell lunch with Rafael Cavalieri Marchi (middle) at Sestica, the oldest restaurant in Ljubljana. Rafael was visitor of our labs for three months as Maria Sklodowska Curie #EUTOPIA-SIF COFUND Postdoctoral Fellow. Nice collaboration with Sadler Group, University of Warwick.
If you like metal complexes and aestethics, ISMEC 2023 conference in a beautiful renaissance city Urbino is the perfect fit!
Our collaborative work on correlating complexes' structure and KA2 catalytic activity was just published in Eur J Inorg Chem …mistry-europe.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ej… …mistry-europe.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ej… - soon fully OA! A great thank you to Turel group, coworkers, University of Athens. Funding from Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation-HFRI
In collaboration with a group from the University of Florence led by Prof. Luigi Messori, the interactions of a group of seven biologically active gold compounds with the cysteine protease cathepsin B were investigated using an established ESI MS approach. …mistry-europe.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/cp…
It is so nice to be in beautiful and sunny Ljubljana today! Many thanks to Turel group for the invitation and the great opportunity to present our work.
