Back to work blues so we're reminiscing about the great day we spent with Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service just before Christmas doing some cross-border training. Thanks for hosting us and we're looking forward to many more sessions working with our neighbours in 2019!

We've been out at local reservoirs and rivers today supporting Royal Life Saving Society UK - RLSS UK #DrowningPreventionWeek. We teamed up with United Utilities Catchment Controller Matt (also an On-Call Firefighter) to put up posters highlighting some of the risks associated with open water. #BeWaterAware

Countless case studies mention that the firefighting team could not use the TIC because it "whited-out". If you have to wipe your facemask, then the TIC lens and screen needs to be wiped as well. Just as the facemask visor, it collects all the soot, debris and condensation.

Big thanks to Adrenaline for facilitating crews from Haslingden Fire Rawtenstall Fire Station with the use of their laser tag for BA training it’s a great venue.

At 10.35pm fire crews from Haslingden Fire Rawtenstall Fire Station @Hyndburn_Fire Burnley Fire Station and Greater Manchester Fire were assigned to a fire involving a disused warehouse on Beaconsfield St Haslingden. No casualties reported. Firefighting still in progress at 12 midnight.
