Genuine question for Notts supporters. Now that we’re once again in the EFL, do you prefer us to be known as “The World’s Oldest Football League Club” or “The World’s Oldest Professional Football Club”. The club seem to be sticking with the latter, whereas I’d go with the former.

Bought a new TV from Currys, and they delivered 3 weeks ago. Still unopened. Reduced by £200 today everywhere inc. them. There’s a 30-day return policy, so they’re going to collect it, issue a full refund, sell it for less to someone else and I’ll buy it again cheaper. Madness!

So 11 years ago today, this happened… It wasn’t the fact that they were finally inducted that makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck every time. It was the reception, and genuine admiration and respect from their peers, which lasted considerably longer than this clip.

I vividly remember seeing the final scores coming through on a TV in a shop in Nottingham which confirmed Notts County had been relegated away at Fulham. Then the news from Valley Parade came through and it put everything into perspective. Terrible tragedy.

I steer clear of certain subjects on SM, politics being one. I’ve known Darren Johnson for years through music. He’s one of the good guys: thoughtful, hard working, and importantly, principled. To see him kicked out of a party he’s helped to shape for 37 years is a disgrace.

Just been to the sold out Psychedelic Porn Crumpets gig at the Paradiso in Amsterdam with my girls. It doesn’t matter how many times I see them, they are always awesome. The best live band going. Beautiful venue and no barriers between stage and crowd which made for an incredible atmosphere.

It’s ironic, but trending on Twitter/X today are two people supposedly from the same branch of entertainment, namely comedy. The first is the genius Sean Lock who passed 3 years ago today but whose legacy is forever assured. The other is the sad, talentless LeeHurst Tour Dates on Website.
