Stuff happens, but it’s how they respond. The moment anything goes sideways, WestJet goes into full meltdown. No rebooking, customer service is unreachable, IT doesn’t work, staff can’t offer basics like a hotel voucher. Awful airline.

Delays and cancellations happen, but it’s how the handle them. WestJet is abysmal at this. They don’t rebook pax timely, their IT doesn’t work, they refuse to rebook on other airlines or offer hotel vouchers. And their customer service is unreachable. Awful airline now.

Man.. WestJet is fucked lol my parents are en route to Mex. They paid for first class. Last min plane change=no first class, no drinks, no food, 3 seater rows, no charging stations, no in flight service. I’d be LOSING my mind. WTF

CTV News Calgary Westjet went from a decade plus of excellence to complete incompetence/delays/mismanagement. No compensation for issues within their control now too. It’s bad enough now to make Air Canada look good. Do better Westjet. I’ll never fly with you until you change your ways.

A lot of people seem to think this is a positive move eliminating recline. The bigger problem is that WestJet is adding a row, so the new seats will have 2 inches less pitch (legroom) in the back. This is not an improvement. It’s way worse.

WestJet is squeezing in another row of seats so the new seats will have 2 inches less pitch (legroom) in the back. 28 inch pitch, worse than Frontier or Spirit, but WestJet still charges full service pricing. Westjet has fallen so far. Even the pilots are fed up.
