Hitchin Walsworth Evening Guild Arts & Crafts subsection have supported Hitchin’s Holy Saviour Church Christmas Tree Festival for years, winning it in 2019 with decorations made from quilling paper strips. This year they were inspired to create marbling paper decorations.

WRNS Burghfield-Dauntless Div Photo Project 1946-1981 is looking for any lady who joined the WRNS between those years. Initially created to gather an archive of 'class' photos it has morphed into a social group for veterans & rekindled Navy spirit from back in the day.#WRNS

Knowle Townswomen’s Guild meeting on Tuesday (1st March) welcome Lyn, a forensic scientist. She will be presenting a number of examples of cases and types of evidence. Sounds fascinating. What speakers has your TG booked?

Four Oaks Sutton Coldfield TG members tried on Victorian nightwear, part of speaker, Elizabeth Smithem’s collection. Her collection included children’s christening gowns, mens night shirts & ladies under garments. Members enjoyed listening to stories associated with the clothes.

On a wet & windy day Orrell & District Guild have given us something to put a smile on faces. Utilising their members skills, a card making evening produced these lovely cards. Well done, all. What crafts have your guild been doing? #crafts

Isle of Wight TG Federation hosted the Buman Shield handicraft competition today. 8 Guilds chose children’s books to recreate using crafts. All entries were exceptional. 1st place went to TennysonTG for with Kate Tom’s book ‘Incy Wincy Spider’. All enjoyed tea & cake afterwards.

MP Marco Longhi helped fasten flowers, ready for a community Jubilee flower display in Sedgley. There are 4 nets to complete. Sedgley E Townswomen's Guild are leading this project but members of the local community are helping. Are your group doing anything for the Jubilee?

We’d like to wish everyone a happy Easter.

On Tuesday, Braintree & Bocking Guild held a special evening celebrating the Jubilee. They all enjoyed toasting the Queen with a wonderful selection of cakes. All the members attending wore their hats especially made for the occasion.

Jubilee postbox topper now out in Sedgley plus bunting put around 9 other postboxes courtesy of Sedgley E TG. Good publicity for TG in the area. Are there anymore TG generated Jubilee postbox toppers around the country?

Menston TG had a very enjoyable meeting on Wednesday to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee. Members watched a film of her Majesty’s early reign and enjoyed tea and cakes . One of Menston TG members bought in a copy of the original programme for the coronation day
