Hoping that Carney Chukwuemeka can return to the 1st Team fold. Always thought he’s been a fantastic player, and I believe he will make a significant impact if he’s allowed to play. Dynamic, creative attacking midfielder that should fit beautifully into the system.

It is sad to see reports of a rift in the ownership of Chelsea after just 2 years. They came in united, promised the club a lot and appear to be dividing at first signs of underperformance. It perhaps explains why the strategy has appeared confused at times. Watch this space.

I have been broadly supportive of the underlying elements of the long-term plan under the owners, but elements have appeared muddled or inconsistent. If the differences are significant, it is probably for the best that one of the factions in the ownership takes full control.

Suspect that it would be Todd Boehly that is bought out of the ownership group. He’s been relatively uninvolved since 2022, whilst Behdad Eghbali has had far greater operational control in the club. Outside observers target Todd, critiquing him for decisions which weren’t his.

Which faction would you rather take control: Todd Boehly or Clearlake Capital?

Todd Boehly was frontman of the bid for the ownership, and the individual that most excited and reassured fans back in 2022. He subsequently withdrew after playing an operational role in the first months of joint control. Losing him would hit the credibility of the group imo.

Strong suggestion that Todd Boehly would leave the setup if this happens…

Ultimately, we have very little control over what happens next in relation to the ownership of Chelsea Football Club. We know snippets about what goes on inside, but we don’t know the full picture of the day-to-day running of the club. I am hopeful this situation gets resolved.

Jack Draper has had an inspirational run to the Semi Final of the US Open. Fought to the death today against the World No. 1 whilst clearly being extremely unwell. Making us all proud. Keep it up, Champion 🇬🇧

I understand but disagree with people that say that a buy-out would not be significant. Clearlake control would not see many operational changes in the short-term, but any change to the composition of the owners will significantly alter the governance of the club longer-term.
