Don't why I'm always surprised when I watch a film from the BFI top 100 (for The Top 100 homework) and find out it's actually pretty good. Anyway, STALKER is a technical marvel, but pretty hard going. Didn't quite connect with me, but I appreciated the heck out of it.

The Top 100 Rosie Fletcher Oooooh. Watched this for the first time when EoH covered it last year, but that's no reason not to watch it again!

🎞 Silent London 🎞 Oh, that's exciting! I talked a little bit about how the various scores for Man with a Movie Camera have enhanced or detracted from the viewing experience when I was on The Top 100 with Tim Coleman earlier in the year.

Following on from the recommendation of Michael Brooke in our STALKER episode I’m currently reading Geoff Dyer’s ZONA: full of thought provoking projections which makes me want to travel back to the Zone again

Gerwig's Little Women is the main one I've wished for but also Joe Wright's Pride and Prejudice or Ang Lee's Sense and Sensibility because I can write about Jane Austen and Amy March and the power of sunlight on film til the cows come home, come on Criterion! 😁👋
