8 yo wouldn't read Kingdom of Wrenly Book 12 when it came yesterday - even though he ordered it w bday $ - bc he'd made a promise to the neighbor that could read it 1st (since she'd lent him earlier books in the series). Luckily, she's a fast reader! #amreading #kidlit

Reading The Parker Inheritance by Varian Johnson after my 10 yo recommended it to me. I love how honest it is. The characters are true to self (to their generation, etc.). The book treats readers as mature and capable.
