This is an important step in addressing sexual misconduct in surgery. Please read the Code of Conduct and give it your support. We must work together to eradicate this blight on our profession.

We are asking surgeons to engage with and read the Code of Conduct that we have launched today. No one should have to come to work in a state of fear. Lets make our hospitals a better place for all. #RCSNews

🧵We have written to The MPTS asking them to attend our Council to explain their handling of sexual misconduct cases. Our surgical community is concerned whether sufficient penalties are consistently being applied, especially where the GMC has pushed for a stronger sanction.

New The Health Foundation research has found that elective surgical hubs can significantly increase treatment volumes and help reduce waiting lists. Welcoming the findings Tim Mitchell called for extra funding to “turbocharge” their expansion. More: ow.ly/xgzy50TgfJk
