This is how Ofsted inspectors are trained to respond to teachers who resist standard language ideologies. Note how they use guises of 'social justice' to do this, perpetuating the myth that if marginalised people would just modify their voice, this will solve social inequalities.

Language revitalization is not a zero-sum game. A language "gain" is not another language's "loss". Multilingualism was “normal” before colonial conquest & 1–language, 1–nation-state ideologies. Imperialism, colonialism & capitalism cause language inequities, not multilingualism.

Newflash for the Deaf Community! As part of the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan commitment to create a more equal, integrated city, British Sign Language (BSL) courses, up to and including Level 2, will be fully funded for those on London Living Wage (LLW) or are unemployed #BSL #languageaccess

Therefore hearing parents and deaf children learning a signed language may be on this journey *together*.

Gender critical thinking seems to share a lot with linguistic prescriptivism. It’s all about what should or should not be, and not actually acknowledging the diversity of human behaviour.
