Barbell strategy for high-signal communication with busy people (email, Slack, docs and briefs): be very terse/short or very detailed/long. Avoiding the middle: too short to get signal, too long to be scannable and decisive.

Once a month or so, it’s good to try to send an email that scares you a little bit when you hit send. An “it’s probably nothing” email with a tiny little chance of changing everything.
