I had a heartbreaking loss today- Lily, my cat who helped me through these last three years, had to be put to sleep today. It was a sudden change in her health & my vet helped me understand why this was the right decision. Lily was wonderful, and I'm happy to have been her human.

Happy Adoption Anniversary, Clem! Ten years later, you've come a long way from your time as "Amy" at the shelter.

I didn't mention it at the time but last month Clem had a medical emergency after suffering a trachea tear that happened during a dental cleaning. She was hospitalized for 4 days, under 24/7 observation in an oxygen cage. It took another week to fully recover. She's a strong one.
