Great First Meet today! Lots of Prs and some great performances by both veteran and young throwers! Special congrats to Darias Marthel for winning the shot put with a throw of 37’5” which is the furthest throw by a sophomore ever at Cookeville!

GREAT NIGHT TONIGHT FOR CHS Track & Field THROWERS!! Women’s Discus took 1-2-4 with 3 PRs! Women’s shot took 1-2 with 2 HUGE PRs! Men’s Shot took 2-3 with a Huge PR for 2nd and some great series throws from 3rd Men’s Discus took 2nd with a 7 foot PR by Senior Blaise Newman !

Outstanding night by our guys throwers too!!! darias marthel continues to reset the shot put record book by breaking the sophomore record for the 3rd time this year!!!!! And Blaise Newman keeps building on a great senior year with his 2nd consecutive runner up finish!

Wild day on the guys side too! Came away with some HUGE PRs in every event from multiple athletes! Congrats to Blaise Newman on his 8 foot Discus PR and Mason Allen on pulling off the double PR in both events!!
