On Churchill and history generally; A pretty fundamental part of any conservative vision is the willingness to favor your own civilization over others, and to believe that where your society is inherently good and its heroes are worth honoring. Many of the freaks employ leftist

"Historian" who conveniently ignores Hitler's manifesto, the Anschluss, Sudetenland, the annexation of the rest of Czechoslovakia, the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, and comes to the conclusion that Hitler was in fact sincere in his desire for peace. Vile creature.

Dave DeCamp They were the good guys. It’s called making hard decisions that may hurt the few to save the lives of the many. The alternative is the appeasement of bullies, murderers and lunatics. Are you one of the weak appeasers?

I don't see the argument for blocking the Nippon Steel deal. Japan is a U.S. ally with a company that's offering to pay to keep jobs in America and in fact to expand American production. What's the problem?

Dave DeCamp That was what was necessary to win a war that was necessary to win, and so is this. Israel’s objective in Gaza is not esoteric. They cannot walk away from it like the US did in Iraq and Afghanistan. They must secure a decisive victory.

We live in the modern era; anyone who loses a major war is accused of war crimes. Total war is brutal. That's why the Axis shouldn't have started one.

CougarSpider The only person who entered any objection onto the record was Leahy and that was purely that he though the bomb wouldn't work. Beyond that ever objection to it's use by any senior figure was made after the fact and is thus of negligible value.

Today in 1976, a Soviet pilot named Viktor Belenko unexpectedly lands his MiG-25 fighter jet in Japan and requests political asylum. The opportunity for Western militaries to examine the fighter up-close is described by many as an intelligence bonanza.

Mike Coté This has to be the most archetypal "don't make me tap the sign again" problems. Don't start wars and then whine about the consequences.

Randy Beck (@randolphbeck) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Mike Coté Military necessity can make war look like a war crime. But that doesn't mean it is. The wikileaks Apache video is a good example.

Nobody understands what that quote *actually* meant. He said that no matter what you did, even delivering food, people would be angry. Anyone who thinks it's damning is simply having an emotional reaction to the word "war criminal" being used.
