blinking rapidly, she simply stared, trying to make sense of it all. ‘ do i look like staff to you? ’

what, her, caught staring by the blonde? absolutely not. and if her eyes happened to go to her more than a few times? it was because she was in her line of sight.

the look on her face? nothing short of appalled. ‘ /well/, at least i don't look like the /before/ picture in a plastic surgeon's office. ’

eyes narrowed, she keeps them on alexandra before glancing behind her. ‘ no. ’ and then, she reaches into her bag, flask revealed. ‘ it's my ex-husband's brand. just about the only good thing he did. ’

spotted. damn. if only that meant she'd feel shame. not a chance. instead, she leaned back, allowing the early-morning sun to hit her chest. eyes still on caroline.
