As a disabled law professor who has benefited from accommodations, I vehemently reject this article's claims. The rise in accommodations isn't fraud—it's progress. It means more disabled students are accessing higher education. This is cause for celebration, not suspicion. (1/5)

Remote work is not a distraction. It's a chance to concentrate. Government workers were 28% more productive on days when supervisors assigned them tasks to do at home, because they were more focused. The office is good for interaction, but it's not always ideal for deep work.

Interesting to hear Steve Bannon grilling the founder of Moms for Liberty this week about why the group fared so poorly last week. She didn't have an answer but I do: education is a major weakness for MAGA

Could be argued that most curriculums are intentionally flawed, potentially opening the doors to all kinds of lawsuits. Consider the implications: families suing companies for being culturally destructive. For gender bias. For printing revisionist history. This could be huge.

NAEP note for the day: Please understand that gains over time (or losses) seem to depend on initial level (quite significantly). The lower you start, the easier it is to show bigger gains and vice versa. This explains many of the supposed "miracles."

Can someone from the DOE explain how schools can acquire exemptions to the mandated literacy programs without a waiver process? chalkbeat.org/newyork/2025/0…
