You lot that do medical/health outreach in Nigeria, please STOP 🛑 sharing drugs to people. If you still want them to feel like you've given them something, share food/fruits.

Instead of sharing sachets of paracetamol, buy basket of orange, apple or any readily available fruit in the community and share it to them, that will help them better.

Anybody who need medication should go to hospital and get a proper prescription. Thank you 😊

I agree with this. Most people you meet at outreaches will come with an incomplete history. Often, you don't know if their condition is long-standing, and they are also at risk of incomplete use of drugs, creating resistance. At best, give them a free investigation at a facility.

So you know how in nursing school everybody asks you, like, what kind of speciality you want to go into? Most people will say No to psychiatry. But the funny thing is you can't escape psychiatry. Psych is in every department😂
