The girl smiled. “I suppose existing is better than not,” she returned his shrug. “What are you working on, father?” Agnes was curious minded and enjoyed science, just as he does. She wasn’t too much of a girly girl nor too much of a tomboy, she was all she needed to be herself.

“Don’t tell him but I prefer science over hunting.” Agnes shrugged, letting out a small chuckle. “You know, you could be right,” she did remember a time when Vlad was still alive. Perhaps it’s those fond memories of her father that became the reason she adores earth.

“You know what, it totally might-“ Agnes made a shushing gesture. “So it’s our secret, okay, father?” The female smiled at him. “It’s just.. hunting never changes, I feel that it’s so repetitive. Science is always expanding, never the same. That’s what makes it so fascinating.”

“That’s probably true,” she smiled at her father’s laughter. Seemed like seeing him like this was a rare opportunity. “And I do admit I enjoy the same adrenaline rush but anyway — what have you been up to lately, Father? Other than changing the ecto-filtrator.”

“Really?!” Her eyes lit up. A sister! How exciting. She never had any siblings — well except Danielle but due to circumstances between Dani and Vlad, they’d never actually spent much time together. “Is she older than me? Or younger?” Agnes smiled.

“Oh! So she’s three years older than me.” She smiled. Yes, she was in her last year at Casper High beginning this fall. “College, gosh she sounds so cool,” Agnes grinned.

“Father, I’m certain anyone you deem worthy of your time is excellent company.” Agnes smiled. “I’m excited to meet her. I can’t believe I’m going to have a big sister,”

Agnes laughed. “Father, goths are awesome. They love the occult and all things dark and spooky, like us! I’m sure we’ll get along fine.” She shrugged. “She already feels like family, so there’s no need to worry.”

“That is true.. but seeing as how my own father was once human, I decided to judge them based on getting to know the humans rather than just judge them because they’re humans.”
