For me the International Space Station passed in front of the moon for 0.6 sec last night. It was 527km away. Stacked video frames from a 6D on a 127mm Mak. #spotthestation

The #iss through my 12in Skywatcher Dob on Monday night. Manually tracked. #spotthestation International Space Station

Looking forward to hopefully a successful 7 minutes of terror for NASA's Perseverance Mars Rover this evening. My last Martian 7 minutes of terror was between 5.10 & 5.17am on August 6th 2012 at Natural History Museum. Apologies for shaky camera work! youtu.be/fNXxLiR5dfw

Here’s International Space Station at 19.20 tonight through my 12in Dob in my garden. Manually tracked. #spotthestation #iss

Here’s International Space Station passing in front of the sun this morning. Composite of 83 frames. #iss was 714km away and it was in front of sun for 1.28 sec. Taken using 70mm refractor. #spotthestation

Very surprisingly my 127mm Mak (on a camera tripod) image of the 6.5 day old moon has been shortlisted in the 2021 Royal Museums Greenwich’s "Astronomy Photographer of the Year" competition. #APY13

Whoever at The Times and The Sunday Times who selected this image has never attended a lecture online. Generally lecturers screen share rather than stand in front of a hand written whiteboard.

Can’t help thinking that BBC News (UK) might more usefully employ their camera crews by capturing news rather than their camera crews in action.

The #iss transiting the moon today at 1.23am. It was 659km away and in front of the moon for 1.01 sec. You can see it on right close to Vallis Snellius. It is in Earths shadow so visible as an outline. Used 70mm refractor & ASI290MM camera. International Space Station

The #iss passing in front of sun yesterday at 13.38, As seen from the side of the Bletchingdon Rd near #Islip. The International Space Station was 551km away and was in front of the sun for 0.69 seconds. Top left 2993 and 2994 sunspots. 70mm refractor + ASI174MM camera. #spotthestation

Very glad the Boeing Space #starliner has docked. The view through my 12in Dob telescope in my back garden at 22.12 UT. It was about 200m from International Space Station . Manually tracked. #spotthestation

The #iss transiting the sun from my back yard yesterday. The sunspot visible is AR3071. International Space Station was 546km away. This is slowed down 2x. C9.25 at f/6.3 with ASI174MM camera + solar filter. #spotthestation

Interesting, Digital Archaeology has an unused fully furnished office in the market place in Banbury. I wonder why.
