Great event. Thanks to everyone for enjoying the science/art, to Duke Institute for Brain Sciences for organizing and hosting, and to Ackland Art Museum for displaying the drawings of Cajal

Great day to be at Duke University !!

In college my life was transformed by a scholarship from Caltech to do summer research in Germany. In the spirit of paying it forward, w/ help from MacArthur Foundation, I’d like offer a 6K summer travel stipend to an undergraduate woman interested in neuroscience. Inspired by Catherine Dulac

Send me an essay describing where you want to go this summer and why. Open to undergraduate women from anywhere in the world. Please keep your essay < 1000 words, email to [email protected] by June 10, 2019 Please retweet

Just sayin', about a year ago Duke Neurobiology prohibited students from providing food at thesis committee meetings. It hasn't harmed the atmosphere, it has removed one stressor for the students. This should not be controversial...

Check out this little video that @valeriexcm and I made about our Neuron paper. Extra points if you can spot Kevin Kevin Franks. youtu.be/068kYo4X7wM

RT: We are recruiting! Duke University TDH Initiative Neuroscience pillar is looking for a molecular cellular neurobiologist investigating brain mechanisms underlying susceptibility to neurological disorders or that contribute to resilience, repair or regeneration. academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/14331
