From the NWS: The Baxter County tornado was rated a EF3 with winds at 140 mph. The track was 6.5 miles long and it was 1000 yards wide at times. There were 17 injuries and 1 fatality.

I appreciate Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders for traveling up to Briarcliff this afternoon to assess the damage from last Sunday's tornado. I look forward to working together on getting the much needed assistance to the folks across the state and right here in HD3.

Proud to vote in support of another tax cut for hardworking Arkansans! The third time since I’ve been in office. The income tax has been lowered to 3.9%, this is historic, we are continuing to work our way down to 0%.

The Arkansas House of Representatives passed HB1002 which increases the Homestead Tax Credit from $425 to $500. I was proud to vote in favor of this bill. I appreciate Representative Bart Schulz for proposing this great legislation. It passed 98-0.

Thank you Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders for signing this historic tax cut into law today, which will return half a billion to Arkansans. This is the first time our state’s income tax has been 3.9% since 1923 when the State enacted the income tax.

It was a great time tonight at Serving Up Solutions, a charitable event where legislators are servers and they help raise money for the Arkansas Hunger Alliance. Tonight was my first time and I will be back every year! I was able to get $1000 to the Mountain Home Food Pantry.
