🎉I’m delighted to share that I’m starting a new position as Assistant Professor of Plant Ecophysiology at the University of Kansas! As I reflect on this transition, I’m both grateful for my time at Carnegie Ecology and excited to join the vibrant community at KU Ecology & Evolutionary Biology.

Our deep dive into cis-regulatory diversity using single-cell genomics across maize germplasm reveals how genetic variants reshape chromatin accessibility, transcription factor binding, chromatin interactions and much more. Led by Alexandre Marand! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Full agree with John Wallingford here. Society journals like Developmental Biology and Differentiation Journal as well as non-profit journals from The Company of Biologists have amazing, well-cited, and well-regarded special issues that are organized by our colleagues. All journals are not the same.

SUCH a fun week bringing Joyce G. Onyenedum, PhD 🇺🇸's plant anatomy video vision to LIFE!!! #BuildAPlant is gonna be 🔥

🆕 & 🆒#Preprint led by JC De la Concepción adressing a key #evocellbio question: How can individual subunits of multimeric protein complexes functionally diversify without compromising the ancestral complex? (Using plant #Exo70 & #exocyst as template) )biorxiv.org/content/10.110… 🧵

How repeatable is #hybridization? study of #Swordtail #fish by Quinn Langdon &co reveals high repeatability due to strong selection in the earliest generations after hyb; deeper evo divergence results in stronger selection & repeatability #PLOSBiology plos.io/4fZ07XQ

Our latest review on how plants adjust stomatal production in response to key climate-related factors, highlighting studies across diverse plant species. Led by our talented PhD student/postdoc, Li Cong Chua. Check it out! Development doi.org/10.1242/dev.20…

Congratulations to @SRobertGroup and Wenkel Lab ! They are part of STARMORPH and RESYDE, two research consortia that are awarded with an #ERCSyG by European Research Council (ERC)! Read more about STARMORPH and RESYDE here: upsc.se/about-upsc/new…
