April 21st is World Creativity & Innovation Day - United Nations's global day of recognition that the world's most complex problems are solved by thinking outside the box. This is what VCU Research is about: converging bold, ambitious, imaginative approaches to grand challenges.

I'm proud to share that VCU will be teaming up with Virginia Tech, UVA, George Mason University, Norfolk State University, and Northern Virginia Community College in a statewide alliance to innovate Virginia’s semiconductor and microelectronics ecosystem.

Congratulations to the 22 VCU researchers who were inducted into the National Academy of Inventors last week! 👏 🎉 To be inducted into the National Academy of Inventors, researchers must hold at least 2 U.S. patents. Read more: bit.ly/3NANDK2

Thank you Rep. Rob Wittman & Chief Steve Adkins of the Chickahominy Tribe for visiting VCU RiceRiversCenter last week. We all enjoyed the opportunity to talk with students about their research & current issues pertinent to the Chesapeake Bay, wetland conservation, renewable energy, & more.
