ブラックホールが目の前にあったらどう見えるか、iphoneのカメラでシミュレーションできるアプリが登場しました。開発したのはブラックホール重力物理で著名なAlex Lupsascaさんのグループの学生さんなのでこれにはガチなRay Tracingが実装されてるはずです。

この国に10年近くいますが、徹底した資本主義と競争主義によって町ごとに生活レベルや学区の教育レベルに強烈な格差があり、層が物理的に断絶してるんですよね。日本はここまで酷くない。根本的な制度設計の問題で、どの政党が舵握っても4年のサイクルで実感できるほど是正できないのが辛いところ。

最新の論文をarXivに投げました。アメリカに来てから進めた研究で、ブラックホールジェットの画像特徴と磁場構造との関係を探るものです。画像計算から、ブラックホールに刺さる磁束の変動が、画像上のジェット幅に反映され時間差で伝搬していくことを明らかにしました。(1/3) arxiv.org/abs/2411.08116
